This year saw the 40th anniversary of the New Balance Flimby factory, paying homage celebrating culture, style and local production.The household name keeps the momentum going with its latest M991 release, inspired by the humble Donkey Jacket, one of the mainstays of British workwear and by-gone eras, and just like the Made in England line-up, it was originally made on home soil. Emulating the leather shoulders and textured wool of the 19th century workwear jacket, the toe box is dressed in a fuzzy tonal Harris Tweed®, while the rest is layered with leather synthetic overlays predominantly black with hints of “Magnet Grey”. The iconic cushioned ABZORB midsole ties in too - with two-tone grey and metallic accents.
